Group Mail
Group mail facility is available with Techfocuz
Communicator 2.6. To implement group mail, the best
available option is to configure virtual domains in the
Mail Transfer Agent (MTA). When this is done, the MTA
itself is responsible for the routing of the mail.
Address Book
The address book enables users to keep track of mail
addresses and contacts. This feature enables the user to
directly insert mail addresses from the address book to
the header field of the composed mail. Also it adds new
contacts if they do not exist in the address book
database.
IMAP
TechFocuz Communicator 2.6 supports (Internet Mail
Access Protocol) IMAP.
POP3
Post Office Protocol 3 (POP3) is inherently handled by
the mail server. The mail server can handle POP mail by
default. After fetchmail downloads the mail from a POP
server, mail server transfers the mail to the various
user agents. It is at this point, Techfocuz Communicator
2.6 performs the filtering. After filtering and
excluding unsolicited mails, Techfocuz Communicator 2.6
delivers the mail to the user's mail box.
SMTP Authentication
Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) protocol is also
supported by Techfocuz Communicator 2.6. The SMTP
specification does not enforce authentication. The SMTP
Authentication is defined in the ESMTP protocol.
Quotas and Virtual Addresses
Quotas and virtual addresses are also implemented in
Techfocuz Communicator 2.6. It easily supports 1 to over
1,000 domains. It also supports 1 to a million of email
accounts per domain. It automates and simplifies many of
the tasks needed to manage virtual domains. User
authentication information can be stored in hash files,
MySQL, Oracle, Sybase, PostgreSQL, or LDAP.
Content Filtering
Content filtering is the process of guessing the
contents of an incoming email and taking appropriate
steps. The content filtering can be useful for fighting
spam and virus attacks by checking the subject lines for
specific signatures and Multipurpose Internet Mail
Extension (MIME) types of attachments.
Internet Hosting
TechFocuz Communicator 2.6 can be connected to the
Internet by using static IP and can be accessed from
anywhere in the world. Industry standard protocols, such
as POP, SMTP, and IMAP, are used in the server, and
mobile users can utilize the Webmail facility.
Size Filtering
Size filters have to be implemented by using custom size
filters. These size filters can be prioritized. The
maximum size of attachments and that of the entire mail
can be taken as factors in designing the size filter.
For efficiency, it is more desirable to implement
attachment size filters as a part of the Web interface.
Antivirus
The antivirus software is integrated into Techfocuz
Communicator 2.6 for scanning inbound mails for viruses.
The antivirus software integrated with communicator is
based on server licensing not on number of users .The
antivirus used is kaspersky antivirus.
If connected to internet the antivirus will updated
automatically for better usage.
Spam Protection
The spam protection is one of the most important feature
of any mail server. The basic spam attack is through
relaying. Spammers exploit the relaying capabilities of
a mail server to send spams . This can be enabled with
the mailserver using spamassassin .
Fetchmail
Fetchmail is a full-featured remote mail retrieving and
forwarding utility that supports mail protocols such as
POP3 and IMAP. Fetchmail is integrated with TechFocuz
Communicator 2.6 to forward and retrieve mails.
Advanced Editor
Advanced editor is used while composing a mail .This
feature supports composing mails as html and send in
html format
Task manager & Scheduler
Task Manager is used for assigning the task to users
based upon the hierarchy level. With scheduler users can
assign task to be done in the day. If that task is not
completed it will be automatically append to next
subsequent day.For eg say we have designations in a
office like ceo,hr,sa,professor like this. From this
hierarchy level it will be possible for ceo to edit and
enter new task into shared schedule of hr,sa
,professors. So when they will login they can see the
schedules
Archive Manager
This facility is used to download the mails from the
server to the client machine and store that in a html
format by the users. So users can have important mails
in their client machines.
Search Mail.
Searching of mails based upon the subject,from date and
sender name can be easily be retrieved with this search
facility
Bookmarks
With this feature we can store any number of website
address with a suitable name in webmail. This may useful
for future reference.
Spell Check
SpellCheck is used for checking the spelling of words
written in mailbox while composing the mails
Color Settings For Incoming Mails.
With this feature we can easily sort incoming mails
based upon colors.ie for mails coming from different
users we can assign different colors .
Mail Forward
Keeping a copy of mail in inbox and sending the mail to
